Solar detach & reattach

Take care of your roof.
Bring your solar back.

When the roof needs work, the solar needs a plan. We coordinate the removal and reinstallation side of your project with you and your roofing team.

Let’s talk about your home
Illustrative Arizona home with rooftop solar

Built around your situation

Coordination before the first panel comes off.

01

Review and prepare

Share system ownership information, equipment details, your roofer’s scope, and any warranty or provider requirements.

02

Coordinate removal

Agree on access, panel handling, storage responsibilities, and timing before roofing begins.

03

Reinstall and review

Plan compatible mounting, reinstallation, and system checks after the roof is ready. Final requirements depend on the equipment and project.

A roof repair or replacement is a separate scope unless specifically included in your written agreement. Third-party leases, warranties, and service agreements may require advance authorization.

A little clarity goes a long way

Good questions.
Straight answers.

There’s a lot to consider. Start here, then let’s talk about your home.

Ask us a question
What happens to my panels when I replace my roof?

Panels and some mounting equipment may need to be removed before roofing begins and reinstalled afterward. We review the system, roof scope, ownership requirements, and schedule with you. Do not remove or disconnect energized equipment yourself.

Do you work with existing On Point customers?

Yes. Contact customer service for project questions, battery options, detach-and-reattach needs, or the current free roof-inspection offer for existing customers. We’ll confirm the scope and scheduling with you.

Will requesting information sign me up for marketing texts?

No. Asking a question or requesting a consultation does not by itself grant permission for promotional texts. Our SMS program uses a separate, optional consent process, and you can opt out by replying STOP.
